He also provides individual executive coaching to entrepreneurs, professionals and public figures around the world, supporting their quests for career growth and personal fulfillment.

Brian plays leadership roles in a number of business networks, trade associations and accelerator programs. He develops and presents sector-focused conferences, workshops and other interactive forums bringing best-of-breed ideas and processes to start-up companies and serial entrepreneurs. In much demand as a keynote speaker, conference moderator and forum panelist, Brian participates in various summits and thought-leadership programs around the world. A judge of the Software and Information Industry Associations’ annual CODiE Awards, Brian also authors articles on topics such as managing growth and overcoming stagnation.

A board member of such high-tech industry groups as NYTECH Council and LaunchPad LI, Brian has organized industry meet-up groups and run CEO roundtables across the greater New York area for over a decade, helping fledgling entrepreneurs gain managerial savvy, interact with peers and meet industry mentors. Brian is both an angel investor and has been a director of several early-stage businesses.

Prior to founding Cape Horn Strategies, Brian was VP / Sales & Marketing for a software division of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. Before that Brian advanced through the managerial ranks at Prodigy Services Corp, helping build the first consumer-based online service.

Brian lives in Merrick, NY with his wife Barbara; they have two adult sons. A graduate of City University of New York, Brian enjoys cycling, hiking, reading and crafting scale models of antique wooden sailing ships.
